Introduction Hong Kong Rifle Association is a non-profit making sports body and is one of the leading shooting organization promoting ISSF type of shooting. Being a member of the Hong Kong Shooting Association , the Association conducts mainly pistol and rifle disciplines. The ranges which they have are :
- 10M indoor air gun range - air conditioned with 28 firing points suitable for air pistol and air rifles.
- 25M outdoor ranges - three bays with 6 set of turning targets suitable for .22 to .38 Pistol events. Cover is constructed for the shooting positions to provide shelter for the shooters. It can accommodate 6 shooter to shoot at the same time for rapid fire pistol event and to a maximum of 30 shooters for other pistol events. One of the bays is allowed to shot pistol of up to .45 caliber. New events of falling plates are also organized. New electronic targets are also installed to improve the shooting facilities so as to meet the international standard.
- 50M outdoor ranges - Covered shooting position provide shelter for shooters. A maximum of 16 firing points is allowed. New electronic targets are also installed for the rifle and free pistol events.
Memberships
There are two types of memberships - Ordinary Membership and Life Membership.
One can join as ordinary member by paying HK$30,000 entrance fee and HK$3,000 annual subscription. The entrance fee can be paid by 20 monthly installments of HK$1,500 each. He can also pay an additional HK$50,000 to become a life member to waive the annual subscription. The charge for lady membership is 50% .
Training
The Association have a qualified Coach and numbers of Arms Instructor , they are running some Arms Safety Handling course and ISSF Shooting Seminar to accommodate the shooters of different category .
New members who would like to use the Association's guns have to complete the Arms Safety Handling Course .
