Treat every gun as loaded
- whether you know it is loaded or not.

NEVER point a gun at anyone or
allow anyone to point a gun at you.

NEVER leave arms and ammunition
unattended.

NEVER load a gun unless
you are at a firing point on the range .

NEVER place your finger
on a gun trigger unless you are ready to shoot.

Always carry your gun in
manner where the muzzle is pointed in a safe direction.

Before firing any gun ensure that the
target backstops will not cause ricochets and safe.

Before shooting make certain the bore
of the gun barrel is clear of obstructions.

ENSURE that the breach
or action of your gun is open at all times except when it
is loaded prior to firing or when
stored away in a case or locker after checking that the gun is unloaded.

Any guns when handled to you always
check to see that it is NOT loaded.

When checking a gun always have it pointed
at the target backstops area or in a safe
direction.

Once your gun is loaded at the firing
point , always keep the muzzle pointed in the
direction your target.

When firers are using a range ,ensure
that a qualified Range Officer is present.

It is highly recommended that ear defenders
( ear muffs ) and shooting glasses be used when shooting on the range.

Only .22 Caliber and under ammunition
will be allowed to be used at the range.
